IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System, one of the world's most widely accepted English proficiency tests. It is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English, and is used for study, work, and migration purposes across the globe.

What are the types of IELTS exam?
2. IELTS General Training
For migration, work, secondary education, or immigration. It focuses on everyday, workplace, and social English rather than academic content.
3. IELTS for UKVI
The same test content as standard IELTS, specifically approved for UK visa applications, including student and work visas.
4. IELTS Life Skills
A speaking-and-listening-only test for certain UK family, spouse, and settlement visas, assessed at CEFR A1, A2, or B1.
5. Computer / Writing on Paper
Take all sections digitally, or complete Listening and Reading on computer while writing the Writing section by hand.
How many times can I appear?
There is no attempt limit. Candidates can retake IELTS as needed, or use IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR), where eligible, to improve Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking.

IELTS Test Day Rules
- ✓ Carry the original passport used to register.
- ✓ Arrive at least 30 minutes early.
- ✓ Store phones, watches, notes, and belongings securely.
- ✓ Expect photo and possible biometric checks.
- ✓ Speaking may be same-day or separate, in person or video.
- ✓ Only water in a clear bottle is allowed at the desk.
